The research paper „Decode - Reverse Engineering Abstract Art“ was awarded with the best presentation award at the „shapes of logic“ international conference of parametric design in Wroclaw in march 2015. The paper describes a method for teaching programming for architects. This article describes why modern art (from the middle of last century) is very suitable form for reverse engineering and how problems can be alternatively solved using different script languages, or with graphical algorithm editors like Grasshopper for Rhino. In summer 2015 a programming handbook will be published with a number of examples of decoded art work.
